Silhouette Life Inspiration Box for June 2017
The theme for this month is "Star Spangled Sparkle."
And I am kinda excited for this box. Rhinestones and glitter HTV. A cool denim hat and a garden flag. There is string art and a freezer pop holder. I have used the rhinestone and HTV techniques in the past, and am looking forward to learning the string art technique. Will post projects as they are completed.

Project: Reuseable Cards
I have not taken the time to create cards in a while,
but saw these cool "reuseable" cards and had to give it a try.
They have a clear acetate pocket, so that you can see what is written on the index card
You can replace that inner card and reuse the outside pocket card
Then I created a silhouette cameo file, so that I can easily make these cards again & again.

Project: Personalized Planner Dividers
This last weekend I finally got time to play in my craft room and create something for myself. Using the April's Silhouette Life Inspiration Box as my jumping off point. I worked through the tutorials and created the dividers. Using the Print and Cut feature of Silhouette Studio, I was able to easily design, color and cut the dividers. Just took a while to choose the quotes and titles. The one thing I would do differently the next time, is to print the tab title onto the divider. I think it would of given it a cleaner look.

Project: Table Runner
Yesterday, I worked on the table runner from the March Silhouette Inspiration Box (a monthly crafty goodness box). I had a hard time designing actually what I wanted to do. Did not want anything that was specific for a holiday, but something that I could use year round.
I googled searched a variety of images and clip arts and decided on a Celtic Heart design. "Snipped and Cut" and then uploaded into my Studio Design Software. I traced and cut the design, enlarged it, added the initial in the middle, created a compound path and then sized to fit my work area.
After reversing the image (important to have the lettering going in the right direction) and then sent it to the Silhouette Cameo to begin cutting it out. (Silhouette cutting setting: Blade 3, thickness 10, speed 8 and double cut)
I have learned by trial and error to use a Teflon Heat Press Pillow when working with the glitter HTV. These can be purchased on both Amazon and Ebay. I have come to the decision that things adhere better with the use of the Teflon pillows.
Supplies:

Silhouette Cameo
Siser Easy Weed Glitter HTV
Teflon Heat Press Pillows: Ebay: Just Perfect Amanda
